Message from the Chief

I am honored to serve as Chief of an organization with such dedicated members. These members give up their valuable time to help others in need, not just in the town of Demarest, but surrounding communities. The Demarest Ambulance Corps. has roughly twenty active members that comprise this organization and let me tell you, they are some of the best people I have come to know. I can not thank them enough for all the time they dedicate.
The Demarest Ambulance Corps. prides it self in providing quality pre-hospital care. We have some of the most state of the art equipment, and a lot of that is thanks to you the residents with your generous support. We can not thank you enough for the support over the years that help keeps our doors open to serve the residents.
We are always looking for new members to join our ranks! There is no better feeling when you help someone live another day. We see people and their families at their worst, and a lot of people feel better when they know the person helping them is their neighbor or friend and it actually helps calm people down is some instances. We are looking for anyone from the work from home parent to the retired person looking for something to do with their time. We have plenty of spots open, and can be flexible with the time scheduling, as well as we offer LOSAP (a retirement fund for Volunteers for giving their time) as well as we pay for any classes you need to take. I ask you to consider giving up some time if you can to consider helping others. It can be a very rewarding experience.
Thank you for stopping by, and if you feel so inclined to help out, please go to our "Contact" page and fill out the form. A member of the membership committee will get back you ASAP.
“If our hopes of building a better and safer world are to become more than wishful thinking, we will need the engagement of volunteers more than ever.” — Kofi Annan
