Demarest Ambulance Corps Dedicates Rig and Building to Departed Active Members

Today the Demarest Vol. Ambulance Corps. held a dedication ceremony for our members of Active service that have passed away, dedicating Ambulance 427 and our Ambulance Building. Today, Ambulance 427 was dedicated to Active Life member and Board of Trustee Chairperson Joseph Bonino Jr. who unfortunately left us in February of this year. "Papa Joe" as we called him loved coming down and driving the ambulance. His Favorite saying to us was "I am just a driver". Joe loved us all like we were family, and he was our family too. Well done our faithful servant. We miss you dearly. Thank you for everything you did for us, and the nice weather today. We also dedicated our Ambulance building this morning with a plaque dedicating it to our departed active members. Not only has Joe's name been put on the plaque, but also Ex-Chief James McFadden Sr.'s name was also added, he unfortunately left us in June of 2018. "Uncle Jim" everyone called him, but he was really the Uncle of Chief Fortunato. Both Gentlemen are missed every day. Thank you gentlemen, rest easy.
